Pearl Community Resources

Pearl District Business Association

For close to four years, I have been involved with the Pearl District Business Association. It has been a wonderful experience to get to know such a great group of people. Each member brings such a unique set of strengths and provides a great foundation for our growing neighborhood. We strive to bring services and goods to the visitors and the neighbors in the Pearl that make a difference!

Pearl District Neighborhood Association

The Pearl District Neighborhood Association is an active entity in the community striving to work with members of the area to work together. All types of individuals are members and the group hosts parties and plans events that enrich the neighborhood for all.

Next Portland

NextPortland is an excellent website that documents the development going on in Portland Metro. The site follows the permits from early stages to the finish line. The links go as far as showing architectural plans and times for meetings with city review boards.

Broadway Corridor Project

The former main US Post Office in the Pearl is scheduled to be developed in the next 10 plus years. The Broadway Corridor Project is the long term plan on utilizing the 34 acre site effectively and incorporating it into the surrounding area. The Green Loop will also be part of the plan.

Street Roots- for those who cannot afford free speech

Street Roots creates income opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and poverty by producing a newspaper and other media that are catalysts for individual and social change.

The One Percent Project

Have you wondered where you can help solve the epidemic homelessness in our community? The One Percent Project is a great option. The One Percent Project is an initiative to inspire Portland businesses and individuals to donate a portion of their profits (perhaps 1%) to vetted, local non-profits leading the fight to end homelessness. Our goal is to build a meaningful and durable base of funding for them so they can concentrate on the important work they are doing, knowing that their community supports and appreciates them.
